We
regret to announce the sudden & untimely death of Victor Ambayi in Busia, Kenya on Friday July 16, 2010
through an accident. Ambayi was a brother to Richard Odongo of Halala Massachusetts. He left behind a wife, four children,
Four brothers, one sister and his father. MR. Victor was born on 12 October 1977 at Busia General hospital,
his parents Mr. Gaitano Makokha and Mrs. Paskalia makokha were all happy to have their second born a bouncy baby boy ‘Victor’
at that time Odongo the first born was more than excited to see a newly born baby who will be his brother.Victor
joied Nursery school at Mudiru primary in the year 1983 and one year later joined primary school. He completed
his primary Education in 1992 at Bugeng’I primary school after the family moved from mariachi to Bugengi in 1986. Having
passed the primary exams, Victor joined Bungoma Town High School in the year 1993; he was however later in form two transferred
to Lugulu AC Secondary School where he continued with his High School Education. He satisfied the Kenya Examination Council
when he completed his O level in 1997 and passed with recommendable grade. Victor later in 1998 married Jafta
Mugenya whom he loved very much. They both relocated to Nairobi to look for green pastures. In 1999 he joined the Automobiles
Association of Kenya (AAK)to study driving In January 2000 he joined Multimedia University College of Kenya which was
then known as Kenya College of Communication Technology (KCCT) where he pursued his Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering.
By the time he was in college, Victor was lucky enough to secure a well paying job at Cellular Support Systems LTD 20th
Century House Nairobi, he completed his college in 2002 and continued working with Cellular Support Systems LTD
until 2005 when he started his company at Busia Town ‘Western Technologies’ Victor and Jafta are
blessed with Four children namely: Susan Odongo Ambayi 13yrs, Melvin Teresa Ambayi 11 yrs, Gregory Gaitano Ambayi
9 yrs, Morgan Abiero Ambayi 3 yrsVictor has all along been very healthy and hardworking until on 16th July 2010 when an electricity
poll fell on him dramatically when he and other 15 young men were carrying it to a designated place. He was rushed to Busia
General Hospital that evening and passed on at 9:30 pm.Victor has indeed been very supportive to the entire family of Five
brothers and one sister and in particular his own family. W e shall all remember Mr. Victor as a dedicated, God fearing and
Loving brother in our society.
